This means that the members of the church have the important responsibility to nominate and elect qualified men to be deacons of the church. Deacons have the primary tasks to help those who are in physical need or distress, to develop generous giving among the members of the church, and to keep the church’s finances and property in good order. From the somber, sacred reflections on Good Friday, to the festive celebration on Easter morning, to the sweet fellowship and succulent BBQ on Sunday evening, to the disaster relief trip made yesterday.
